What Do People Ask Before Hiring Movers in Dubai?
Most questions fall into six groups: pricing, booking, Dubai rules, packing, damage and storage. This page answers each group in short cards, then lists twelve common questions in full below.
If your question is not here, call or WhatsApp +971 521340779 and we will answer it.

Pricing
How Is a Move Priced?
We give a free written quote. These are the things that shape it.
What affects the price?
Home size, floor, lift access, distance between buildings and how much packing you need. A studio with a lift costs less to move than a villa with stairs.
Do you charge for the quote?
No. The written quote is free. You see what is included before you book.
Will the price change on the day?
We ask the right questions early so the quote matches the job. If your list changes, tell us before moving day and we update the quote in writing.
Booking
How Do You Book Movers?
How early should I book?
As early as you know your date. Month end is busy because many leases change then. About a week gives you good choice of time slots.
What do you need from me?
Your area, building, floor, move date and a list of large items. Photos of big pieces help.
Can I change my date?
Tell us as soon as you know. We will do our best to find another slot on our schedule.
Dubai Rules
What Dubai Rules Affect a Move?
Rules change between buildings, so always confirm with your management office.
Do I need a move permit?
Many buildings ask for a move in or move out permit from management. Some ask for a refundable deposit. Emaar and Nakheel communities have their own permit steps.
What is Ejari?
Ejari is the registration of your tenancy contract in Dubai. Register it for your new home and keep your documents for the move.
What about DEWA?
Transfer your DEWA account to your new address and close the old one. Match the dates to your lease so you are not billed twice.
How much notice do tenants give?
Tenants normally give 90 days written notice to change terms or leave. Check your own contract for the exact wording.
Packing
Who Does the Packing?
Can you pack for me?
Yes. Our crew brings boxes and wrapping and packs your home. Packing and unpacking are add ons you can request in your quote.
Can I pack myself?
Yes. Pack books and clothes in small boxes, label them by room and tell us which items are fragile. We wrap furniture and handle the rest.
Damage
What If Something Gets Damaged?
What should I do first?
Tell the crew lead right away and take clear photos. Then message us at +971 521340779 or info@kingmoversdubai.com with the details.
How do you handle it?
We review the case with you and agree the next step. Each case is different, so we deal with it directly and honestly.
Storage
Can You Store My Things?
Do you offer storage?
Yes. Storage is an add on for people whose new home is not ready on the move date.
How do I ask for it?
Mention storage when you request your quote and tell us what you need to store and for roughly how long.
FAQ
Movers in Dubai: 12 Common Questions
How much do movers in Dubai cost?
The cost depends on your home size, floor, lift access, distance and how much packing you want. King Movers Dubai gives a free written quote once you share your details, so you know the price before you book.
Do you give a quote before the move?
Yes. Send your area, building, floor, date and main items by call, WhatsApp or email. We reply with a free written quote. You can read it, ask questions and decide with no pressure.
How early should I book movers?
Book as soon as you know your date. Month end is the busiest time because many leases change. Booking about a week ahead gives you a better choice of time slots, and earlier is better for large homes.
Can you move me at short notice?
Sometimes. It depends on our crew and truck schedule on that day. Call or WhatsApp +971 521340779 as early as you can, and we will tell you honestly whether the date is possible.
Do I need a permit to move in Dubai?
Many buildings ask for a move in or move out permit from the management office, and some ask for a refundable deposit. Emaar and Nakheel communities have their own steps. Confirm with your building a few days before.
What are Ejari and DEWA transfers?
Ejari registers your tenancy contract with Dubai authorities. DEWA is the utility provider, so you transfer your account to the new address. Do both around your move date so your lease and bills match.
How much notice do tenants give in Dubai?
Tenants normally give 90 days written notice when they want to change rent or terms, or leave. Your contract may add details, so read it and speak with your landlord early.
Do you pack and unpack for me?
Yes. Our crew brings boxes, bubble wrap and tape, packs your items and unpacks them at the new home. Packing and unpacking are add ons, so ask for them when you request your written quote.
How do you protect furniture?
We wrap furniture before it leaves the room, protect floors and lift walls where needed and take large items apart when they will not fit. We rebuild them in your new home before we leave.
What happens if something is damaged?
Tell the crew lead on the day, take photos and contact us by WhatsApp or email. We review the case with you and agree the next step. We deal with each case directly.
Do you offer storage?
Yes. Storage is an add on for short gaps between homes. Tell us what you want to store and for how long when you ask for a quote, and we explain the options.
Do you move outside Dubai?
No. We move homes and offices inside Dubai only. That focus helps our crews know the buildings, lifts and permit rules in each community.
